The Screening List

Movie studios have a list of screeners who are privy to films as they come out and sometimes even before then. The Wall Street Journal compiled a partial list of who has access to the latest films, which are presumably feature in those private screening rooms. The VIPs are mostly what you’d expect—the Hollywood industry elite comprising agents, producers, directors, and actors, including: Woody Allen, Paul Thomas Anderson, Judd Apatow, Warren Beatty, James Cameron, George Clooney, Tom Cruise, Robert De Niro, Ari Emanuel, Robert Evans, Bill Gates, David Geffen, Bob Gersh, Brian Grazer, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Sherry Lansing, Kenny G, Rupert Murdoch, Michael Ovitz, Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Harvey Weinstein, Robert Zemeckis—

Kenny G? As in the smooth jazz saxophonist?

There are a few other curious names on the list, such as Derek Jeter, Lionel Richie, Rod Stewart, and Prince Saud al-Faisal.
